alright heres the go... ages ago my sump pan took a hit on my NX-R since then its been leaking... it got really bad over the last week or so... i know i can get a replacement pan for it but i cannot find replacement gaskets at all, any one know where i can get replacements for it...
i dont want my SR20 starving of lube so i throw a call out, Dumhead, Aaron and anyone else that might know.. where can get a new one i have a feeling its a case of the gasket being screwed more so than the pan but the ding in the pan is shitting me so thats getting replaced aswell _________________ as a shadow is seen and not heard i am here

just go to PNP and get an old pan and gasket and then get one of those gasket maker kits and trace it out according to the old one. i did that for my fiats carb gasket and it works fine.
not like a pan gasket will be a complicated shape anyway
and iirc last time i went to rocket racing for some bits they had thousands of gaskets and the sr20 is a fairly common engine. 99% sure theyd have one.
failing that try justin at tweak it. this guy knows his sh*t might have something..
i cant imagine its a paticularly high pressure gasket or anything you can probably replace it with some form of generic replacement material _________________ Mechanical engineers build weapons, civil engineers build targets

Most Nissans don't use a gasket on the sump.
You just need to remove the oil pan, clean it up properly, make sure it's straight, and put it back on with some high temp RTV silicone.
The best stuff is probably the genuine Nissan sealant, but it's expensive. _________________ The Engine Whisperer

Your NX doesn't have an SR20 It's a GA20
lol how many times have we gotten into this argument lol its a bloody SR20 lol i struggle with alot of engines but i know my SR20's lol even the compliance plate states its a frikking SR20 i dont care what your wiki came up with lol mine is an SR20 not a GA20, the NX's are just basically a B13 pulsar with a different shell its a frikking SR lol XD i never even thought about giving a shout out to KC either lol
i had every intention of going to PnP to get a new pan,
thanks dumhed that would explain why it seems that some one done a dodgy with it the last time and used some form of silicone to seal it because its got a bit of over spill on the join, i will probably sort that all out on thursday
thanks heaps for the help and comments eay _________________ as a shadow is seen and not heard i am here

The SR actually only has one gasket internally, which is the head gasket.
All other surfaces are machined to close tolerances and use silicone. _________________ The Engine Whisperer

A motor that pops rockers as a factory feature is just beyond my understanding _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

the rocker popping is generally due to idiots assembling the engine wrong.
I know of many SRs running high rpm with no problems at all - including an 8.7 second 1/4 mile S14 running 9500rpm with factory hydraulic lifters _________________ The Engine Whisperer

It's actually quite a nice design, where a sub $100 part can allow safe running at well over the limits of a hydraulic direct acting valve train as used in most other engines. _________________ The Engine Whisperer
