I just signed up to the mailing list. I have a Trex 450 SE, which is my first chopper.
I was thinking of coming down to the meeting next saturday. Looks like lots of fun.
Do you need to be a member of a club and have Vmaa insurance to attend?
Thanks,
Brad

Do you know any good suppliers in Melbourne for rex parts.

If nick doesnt have what you want, then www.wattsuprc.com.au is a great source for T-Rex parts.
Get your order in before about 3-4pm and pay with paypal and it will be on your doorstep the next day ! _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Thanks for all the info guys.
My tail belt(s) arrived today from TOAL..
So all should be good for Saturday.
Anyone got some tips on the quickest way to replace the belt. I hate having to pull the boom out, it's SOOOOOO painfull.
Guess if I take the tail box apart I might have a chance of squeezing it through. The hard bit I find is making sure the belt doesn't twist on the way through.
Thanks again.

take the tail box off
tie a piece of cotton to a nail or something heavy and thin
slide the nail down the boom, then tie the cotton or string to the belt
you should be able to look down the boom and see if the belt is straight
then its a twist to the left or right i cant remember now
its 6am

I use a long piece of solder with a hook bent into the end of it to fish the belt throught the boom
For straightness, poke a pen or similair through the loop of the belt and hang the heli nose-down from the pen by the belt&boom. The belt then usually straightnes itself out, and you can twiddle the pen to rotate the belt and look down the tube for any twists.
