Kenneth what happened to the ep8 ? did you crash it ? blow the tail up ?

Actually it had more to do with your flying being so erratic that the only shot I got of it was this crappy one that I snapped when you accidentally held the thing still for a few microseconds.

That depends entirely on how much motivation and time comes my way in the near future. Also, the way Kenneth is going with his EP8 at the moment he might want to buy it back !

I spoke to him the other day and he was still waiting on a new motor to arrive.

Tail blew up when run on a fresh lipo pack - grrrr. Been waiting for a new motor and (high strength) tail for weeks now. Found a little red note from OzPost in the letter box last night so hope to get it rebuilt this weekend. Whether it survives to the next indoor only the heligods can say

I thought I was being careful but clearly, not careful enough
I ordered the new "strong" tail, an unanodised version of the EX tail, which I think is good to 3000rpm. That ought to be safe.
My new motor is a Typhoon 600-33 (1360kv/700W) inrunner. It is only 37mm diameter so avoids all the mechanical interference problems of the Z20. Initial testing will be on 3s and 20t but my longer term plan is 4s/15t. I hope this motor is not too thirsty, too hot or too wild, time will tell.
Next problem - getting some time to work on it

when i get around to it
the stock ep8 will have to sit for a little will in its mangled state

The heli did not come with a motor (long story) and I was using a borrowed Mega 22/20/3 which I will be returning. So no Z20 for sale. There is one selling for $80 on archeli (Richie-rich).
