This add was acctualy the first add to be played during Super Bowl XXXVI. The destroyed robot is a dressed up TripultaRaptor and the team who built it were payed around $30000 to do the add. And yes, Bud Light were sued by Battlebots for copying their trade mark arena and robots for punitive and stautory damages and also for all profits made by Bud Light after the add was shown. Of course Battlebots didn't get everything they asked for but the add was never aired on TV again. _________________ Get Some!!!

Just goes to show, reaching for your lawyers just because someone gave you some awesome free publicity is a *bad* idea.
Theres some very interesting reading on the idea of the current big buzzword in wanky business ("Intellectual Property" - meaning charging lots of $ for something that doesnt actually exist yet), and "DRM - Digital Rights Managment" (ie. stopping people from copying you, the technological equivalent of lawyers) being a bad idea here
Quite Ironic, given that Battlebots originally started because of legal dramas between Plotnicki and Robot-Wars.. a few year later, they do the same thing and dissapear as well.. some people never learn.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas.
