The windscreen wiper flipper from Ultimate real robots (Mini Cassius) was able to lift 18kg, I think.

You should be fine with it.

The one in Real Robots was not a windscreen wiper motor, it was a car winder mechanism. We have a renault window winder mechanism on Haemorrhage and even on 12v, we can lift a good 20kg slowly. On 24v, it zips up and down and could lift close to 40+kg if it didn't lift itself off the ground in the process.

Currently, I'm trialing(when i get the third motor) out how good a winch motor with its standard 153:1 gearing works as a lifter/flipper. I'm hoping for a good 100kg lift on 12v and and possibly a good 50kg flipper on 24v depending on how I setup the flipping ratios.

If you need any help with the lifting design for your bot, there are plenty of us around to help any queries or quandries.

Well with the winch setup u could just use the hook that comes with mounted to lifting arm mechanism. just the cabling always needs to be tight so it doesnt undo itself or tighen u[p too much stalling the motor.

I thing armold terminegga used a winch motor setup in its lifter and tipped and lifted a good few robots. I did see cables and pullys mechanisms running somewhere on it so u never know.

It depends what you class a lifter as and what you class a flipper as. I think with the 24v winch motor, I will be able to launch the opponent over like a flipper, but Haemorrhage can only lift them up slowly and some times roll them over.
