It was that eye-corroding hot pink foam!
I have seen a few patches on Basilisk that looked a little etched. it was during welding and before I had any components in place. Since there was no flux involved and I have no acid anywhere in the workshop, I was mystified, but it had to be a welding side effect 'cause there was no other process going on. Here's an idea - find a litmus test material on the web and place it around your batteries while you give them a discharge-charge cycle. If that comes up blank, you are in the clear battery wise _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion
