I've got to grind 3mm off the leading edges of the guards for it to run invertible without the attachments. If I put on some 100mm wheels, it's no hassle _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Actually, the twin red wheels with duct tape is just so I make sure to make the wheels guards wide enough to accommodate the Colsons (When they turn up ).
Once I work out some more ideas, I'll add the rest of the guard, which is made out of a sawblade, some 10mm rubber and some torsion rod Getting close to the weight limit now, so I gotta watch the thick steel now _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Looks like they will bend down nicely and jam the wheels.

Lol
Bend....
Most likely, my welds will tear off before that steel bends... Bend is not in the vocabulary of a plow disc _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
IBC now installed... Everything is now wired up...
Drives now too. Just need to grind a little bit of the front wedge, its causing a bit of pull to the left and the red wheels in my dusty shed floor can't get any traction. So itching for the Squidgy wheels to turn up and see how it goes.
It also drives upside down, just need to modify a few things to make it a bit more manuverable when turned turtle... _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Just run two batteries through it. Get about 15mins out of each battery at full throttle everywhere.. gave the wedge a bit of a grind, and that helped a bit more, just need some traction, nearly shredded two red wheels so far, so when the squidgy's get here, it should be a lot faster and more direct.
Apparently 4x2in colsons are the go for maximum traction. Or so I am told.
We could make the surface grippier but then the wedge would be harder to push.

i reckons the original blue wheels that where soft all the way through where the best. you could almost stall out a set of rated voltage drills through em. only problem being you bounced about 3 times turning XD _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

The robowars arena is about 10 times more grippy then my shed. I believe if I can learn to drive it in myself (which I'd compare to dry ice) I'm sure I can handle it in the good arena. I'll see which are going to work out better, the Jake Urethane wheels or the Colsons. I'm more inclined to use the Urathane's because of the larger diameter and ruggedness of them.
First pack just charged, 29mins and took 2279mAh after being charged at 5amp. Not bad, they should give a bit more once they are cycled like this for a week Will have to go over Andrew's place on Friday night and battle him for a few hours straight so we get some good driving practise in and maybe get the kids to drive some bots too _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Sounds great Aaron, but I found practice on a surface which is faster (more traction) and then going to a slower surface would be better rather then the other way around. Anyway any practice is good . Have Fun _________________ Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.
