He won't be able to get that running in time. Jake was unsure about going when I talked to him friday, and don't know about andrew.
Hmm, even numbers indeed! _________________ ( •_•)
How about Ajax? If we have a WA entry SA should be represented.
Hope Planers and DumHead can make it, 2 past winners and all.
Doesn’t sound like we are going to see Maximilian in action. Pity about Scissorhand to.

I have just confirmed with SideTracked that the Arena will be assembled by Sunday, so if driving/testing practice is more important than Gary's Workshop facilities to you guys, SideTracked is available.
If more of you think that a bit of tech assistance at the Rotwang Lab's would be more useful and dont mind driving to Geelong, thats fine with me too..

A bit early for me to say what suits.
Hoping to be back on the feather tommoro afternoon and hopefullu all day friday so all going well will have it driving to some extent by the weekend.
Because of my bandaged hand its making it a bit difficult to plan things but will start to take short cuts with the rest of the build.
Either way would be good to get some weighing done and see what has to happen over next week.
Will leave it with u guys and try to work around it but I wont know where I stand till friday afternoon with stuff _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

Picked up a Ryobie 12v 2speed drill for $5 from the tip shop for you George and I have the adapter and motor off the other one.
As far as venue I would much prefer Sidetracked.
I wont to get lots of driving practice, Having to rely on my opponents relays sticking or driving into walls and flipping over is a bit unreliable.
New plan is run rings around them land lots of hits and send them home in a bin bag.
If anyone needs building help I work in hoppers crossing so I can pick up things on the day and you can pick up from Hoppers Stoppers or I can courier stuff back to you.

THanks Gary, much appreciated.
Regarding the motor mounts on those gearboxs there might be something you can do for me if poss, need to enlarge the central holes to take the larger motors.
REcently fried my dremel after many years of service and am a bit stuck on how to enlarge them.
Not sure if u can do it easy enough either but thought to ask. Evntually have to enlarge hole to fit collar of motor thats 17.5mm. I guess 18 would be fine if you had a drill that size. But no drama if its a pain, have to get another dremmel eventually, have too many bits for it and you really miss it on smaller jobs lik this.
REgarding driving practise you are welcome to come over during next week and do some practising against me, was thinking of going to sidetracked during the week anuway to do the same. Just have to watch not to scratch the floor. _________________ Bots that do not destroy you, only make you stronger.

Come on George golf shoe spikes are too low teck for you, Ground effect, side skirts with a big fan for down force is the go, magnetic wheels aren’t the go on wood and concrete and you look silly once you find the loose section of steel floor plate.
Has the added benefit of vacuuming loose paint and rubber dust off the floor so your sticky rubber tires get optimum grip.
