question, having a job and no living expenses has left me with an unrequest funds surplus xD.

so long story short nick, how much do you think youve invested in that mill and all the accessories needed to make it work,

and kerrisons + jake, how much would i be looking at for a complete lathe setup?

If you are looking at a mill, the HM30 is $1,495 from Hare & Forbes. It's a chinese knock-off of the RF-31 for $200 less. The smaller X3 mills are nice but cost more. Apart from the basic mill, expect to spend at least $1,000 on cutters & accessories. It seems like a lot but you really need this stuff: Vise (5" at least), Collet set (ER32 type recommended), Clamp kit, 50mm carbide face cutter, parallels set, end mills (the chinese sets are crap!), digital calipers, dial indicator & holder, coolant pump & tank.

Come to think of it, you won't get any change back from thee grand Rolling Eyes.

You could pay for an engineer to do a lot of work for $3000.

I nearly bought a smaller version a while back, but shipping to Australia sucked, and I dont really have anywhere to make a mess with metal fragments. Sad
