Jigsaw blades for Titanium or Stainless

I noticed some people having trouble cutting titanium and stainless steel. We import blades from Germany and I think you may be using the wrong blades.

The best blades for the job are tungsten carbide or at the very minimum bi-metal. Our new M-tooth blades are also good value, better than bi-metal, cheaper than tungsten carbide. Standard blades are a waste of time.

Choose the right tooth pitch. There should be at least 3 teeth cutting. So if the material is 3mm thick you need at least a 0.75mm tooth pitch. Don't use too fine a blade or you will be there all day.

The jigsaw's pendulum must be turned off (except for our M-tooth blades). Use a variable speed jigsaw and don't over heat the blade, be patient. Use of a cutting fluid to cool the blade is essential.

Hope you find this useful. Feel free to contact me or visit our website www.derossi.com.au
