Vertex currently requires some extremely good speed controllers and some more finishing work.... Not quite combat ready.

Hey are Bulldoze, Vertex or Sarbetooth built to run on the new outdoor arenas?

Bulldoze and Sabertooth are both built for the Robowars all terrain arena idea. Vertex as far as I know was built for the pommie flat floor arena and has been modified to run all terrain. Smile

Lawnmower is only medium weight at the moment but he could be beefed up to run as a heavy if it were desirable. Smile

He doesn’t have a lot of ground clearance and he cant just drive up curbs etc like bulldoze but as there are even less starters in the medium weight class than the heavy at the moment and even overseas the medium weight class seems to be less popular then the heavy for some reason? Confused

Bulldoze and Sabre's Weapons

It's a bit hard to tell from the pics provided but what are the weapons on Bulldoze and Sabretooth.
Bulldoze looks to have a lifting bar and Sabre seems to have 1 big spike.
Did i get it right? Confused

Nothing has been done with sabretooth its currently just a bare frame, we intended on having either a spike or a lifting bar.

Bulldoze is almost ready to be used for demo purposes and possibly for ultibots but we have lightened it of of ultibots and it will probubly have some type of griping claw and either a blade or a lifting bar at the front.

Smile

Vertex has a 20 kg spinning disc powered by an 80 cc chain saw engine a self righting arm that also doubles as a flipper that runs off compresed air..its 4 wheel drive powered by two briggs and stratton motors at 24 volts possibly 8 to 12 hp per motor .so far we dont have reliable speed controlers that will, handle over 400 amps per motor .but we are working on the problem ..vertex is low ground clearance but could be modified more to get it all terrain ..it wil probaly end up getting les power ful motors that arent as power hungry as the briggs starters but i would like to see it go at least once on the high powered motors . Very Happy
