yeah there the best setup for me at least. dont forgot ye elde IG mk2 that thing has some fairly UBER power.
just got myself 3, for $15 each woohoo. exactly the same as a kk2 in every way shape and form bar the colour of the case.
btw 550rpm and 1 speed trigger, no variable speed for all those shameful types who want to use the trigger as a controller! (jokes ) _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

indeed, cobra went like a bizatch with its good nicads and 9.6v drives. i dont think your going to have a better drill setup than the 9.6v @ 12v. _________________ www.demon50s.com - Minimoto parts

Thats what gave I.G. such awesome Plan-B-bouncing drive power at RoboWars II as well..
I've gone back to the Jaycar 12v Johnson drives at the moment, because I kept breaking the 9.6v KK2 gearboxes (that the secret of why IG is reliable again now Glen.. ),
But if we can find a way to get a reliable gearbox together for them, then they certainly seem to be a nice cheap power combo. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Wow, actual drill stats! Thanks!
Kmart, had a sale last week of $10 Maximate 12v drills. I had to drive around but found 6. But now I`m not sure if I would prefer 9.6 at 12v or 24 at 36v!
