The only problem i'm having is the servo's chattering. Is it possible to remove the pot so that the servo doesn't "wobble" like some do? _________________ Steven Martin

Removing the pot from the servo will remove the feed back system and it will no longer work. This is usually a method for those moding servos for antweights where they remove the pot and put in resistors instead to stop them from creaping.
Servo jitter is generally caused from interference and a damaged pot. Pots sometimes get crud in them and they start to get "ratty" and cause the jitter affect that is uncontrolable, while radio interference can be fixed by improving your radio setup. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/

Marto that loks like the diagrme i sent steve iff you are useing it you have to completly disconect the servo motor as its not needed you only need the small servo board i usualy just remove it from the servo case and mount it on another board that ther fetts ect are on .. iff you leave the motor conected it will rob the power needed to suply the fetts

also you can remove the pot and replace it with two fixed resistors of the right value to keep it happy

Very similar Chris, except the ones you have in SharpShooter (previously in Annihilation) use a mechanical rotary reverse switching on them instead of relay reverse. _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
To stop the relays chattering all you need to do is remove the diode coming from one side to the 5v relay. Just connect the wire striaght to the wire which was on the motor.
Would you be able to use a darlington triggered by the servo to run the relays and trigger FETs? _________________ Steven Martin

Remember they will be single-directional speed controllers, and they use a potentiometer-input to set the speed, so to use them as a bidirectional radio-controlled speed controller will take quite a bit of fiddling..
you could maybe combine one of Andrew's brush-reversing systems with a lever-activated potentiometer (so it moved the same way off-center whether forwards or backwards) mounted on the same shaft. Messy, but it might work.

what i assumed with it was that it was just a simple push lever type thing similar to the drill speedo as the rider pushes a stick or button and that variates the speed that he goes, and that all is needed for reversing is to wire up a microswitch or something to reverse the polarity round. _________________ Andrew Welch, Team Unconventional Robotics

they look alright but whats the point in paying $50 for something a pair of free drill triggers can do more than competently.
SPEED CONTROLLERS: Speed controller modules for the 24V dc motors we stock. They come with a connection diagram. Only 7 wires are used for the speed controller function: Battery connections, Motor connections, and 3 wires for the motor speed controller potentiometer. These units require a 4K7 or 5K pot & a 2k7 resistor (not supplied) to replace the original throttle. Other optional connections are for disabling the controller (switch on brake), power for auxiliary circuits etc. We do not supply any additional connectors, just the modules as pictured. Connectors can be cut-off from the bigger module, the smaller module easily comes apart (4 screws) and the terminals can be easily be soldered to.
And brett how much will the The Medium Motor Controller (MMC)
cost when its on sale and the umob thing?

dose this mean you can only use a 36mhz speed controller on a 36mhz reciever?
