Marayong XII /12 is long gone! The next event is XV at the end of November. The main weight class will be Featherweights with perhaps some antweights. We have never seriously thought about competing in heavier weightclasses at Marayong as the arena is not strong enough. It might be possible to fight with lightweights that have no active weapons but nobody is trying it yet. Keep watching the Marayong XV thread for current details or just come down and spectate - we love to meet new people. _________________ Australian 2015 Featherweight champion

Probably less than that even..
Apart from the cost of the Bots (and Support Systems like huge battery chargers, Trailers etc), the main problem was the PolyCarb required for the Arena and the size of the Arena required. At $900/Sheet by a minimum of 20-30 sheets required plus steelwork and a space to set it up, nobody can afford to build an arena like that. No Arena, No Bots.
Thats why the outdoor class is looking like it will be the place for the larger bots to play.. _________________ Great minds discuss ideas. Average minds discuss events. Small minds discuss people

Wait till you try building a combative heavyweight Welch, it's even harder.... Andrew drilled around 1200 x 16mm holes in Vertex just to cut back on the weight _________________ https://www.halfdonethings.com/
