marayong rule questions...

Hiya guys, just have a few questions;
1) Are IC engines allowed currently are marayong?
2) What is the alowed RPM of a spinner, and how the hell do you measure it?
3) I am gathering that antweights are 1kg, but is anyone actualy making one? I would really like to if there is a small sideline antweight comp along with the feather weights. I heard there used to be, but it isn't there anymore, so...

well in short answrs,

Ic engines=No so far
Spinner rpm is unlimited really, there isnt really a limit on the things

Antweight=i am going to build one one day, whether its soon or not i am not sure as of yet. Gonna be a vert saw blade spinner. Glens got beta max mostly done as well.

I would also like to suggest we look more seriously into prper on paper rules and safety inspections at event and weigh ins etc.

Like seriously guys LETS GET PROFESSIONAL about it all. Lats event was good but no weigh ins ((im under weight so suck) no checks on failsafing or if somebody can deactivate a machine remotely or that it failsafes and i did see some people do some stupidly unsafe things as well.
One was me i do admit but it was barely even considering dangerous as i checked peeps werent around close by and i accidenatlly bumped weopon switch for a secod or two then hit failsafe switch so it wouldnt happen again.

We need for next event where u turn up and instantly weigh your machine, somebody is safetuy official and will check for failsafe or that theres switches that r easily accessable/locks in spinners when not in use and NO TESTING IN PITS besides a light tap of drive or a light half turn of weopon to test it works.

That would be good, as if you were overweight you would've gotton away with it! My next design will involve a failsafe, as it has a spinning bar Cool , but cataclism had none of this, plus the micro contacts kept welding, making one side permenantly on for a while! Shocked

hey angus- thought spinners were outa the question in your household cause of parents not diggin it. If u plan to dircet drive it (ala easrly sorry designs) then we gotta talk on that as it would end in tears.

@Brett- Ive grown up a little and realised the error of my ways so to speak in not having one and not being safety concious. I am especially glad i did make the failsafing unit as when reciever batt died in fight against singularity orbit would have bene outa controll and highly dangerous but it just stopped and sat there happily till i got to it.
Remember this all u can spend a short amount of time getting your machines safer and that little extra time or u could risk an accident in which would haunt u your entire life. i know which id do thats for sure Smile.

I haven't talked to them about it yet Laughing (they said CIRCULAR SAWS were outlawed, not spinning steel bars... Cool ), but i doubt it will happen. Anyway, even if it did, why couldn't i drill three precise holes in the bar and mount it direct to the fan motor? Hmmm, desperatly thinking of weapon ideas... Rolling Eyes
