That's sort of my point - really complex locomotion systems need more help than we currently give them. Making an 8DOF bot should get a huge weight bonus to make it viable.

Some of the rule changes are pretty good, particularly the judging. It might be hard for judges to change their mindset after judging Featherweight matches but definitely worth trying.

Good point; thin wall steel drums have some of the highest MOIs vs weight of all rotating weapons - right up until they hit another spinner Smile.

The tape works much better if there is a large surface area. If you attach it to the top plate, any impact force will go into the top plate, potentially cracking it.

I doubt that printed armour will stand up to even one hit from regular featherweights; I'd go with the thickest possible HDPE
